We offer one-year unpaid internships for students pursuing a master's degree in social work, marriage and family counseling, or clinical psychology. Interns work with children, teens, and adults enrolled in 1736 Family Crisis Center outpatient and shelter programs, under the supervision of licensed clinical psychologists, marriage and family therapists, and social workers. Interns are based at our community service centers throughout Los Angeles.
Internships offer the opportunity to gain experience and skills enhancement in individual, group, and family counseling for people of all ages, support groups for domestic violence victims, and other treatment modalities. All activities are conducted in a multicultural, multidisciplinary environment with weekly supervision provided in one-on-one and group settings.
