1736 Family Crisis Center Accepting Holiday Store Donations Now

Los Angeles, CA -- As many of us are deciding on what gifts to buy our loved ones this holiday season, there are thousands in our community who have only one wish - to be SAFE. 1736 Family Crisis Center works to provide that haven through an emergency youth shelter in Hermosa Beach and four shelters for domestic violence victims and their children in South Los Angeles, Redondo Beach, and Long Beach. 1736 Family Crisis Center is dedicated to ensuring the safety of domestic violence victims and their children, runaway and homeless youth, and other individuals in need, and to improving their prospects for long-term survival and success.

Donations of new, unwrapped toys, clothes, gift cards, and other items are being accepted through December 14 to stock their annual "Holiday Store" for their clients. Children, teens, and adults of all ages "shop" (at no cost to them) for themselves and family members, making holiday dreams come true.

Donations can be dropped off at 1736 Family Crisis Center's South Bay Community Service Center located at 21707 Hawthorne Blvd., Suite 300 in Torrance, or their Los Angeles Community Service Center located at 2116 Arlington Ave., Suite 200 in Los Angeles. For more information, call (310) 543-9900, Ext. 211, or (323) 737-3900, Ext. 237.

Monetary donations are always appreciated at the holidays and throughout the year. Donations are accepted by cash, check, credit card, or online.
