Our four confidentially-located domestic violence/human trafficking shelters provide safety and refuge for survivors and their children (ages birth through 17) while staff help them to develop plans for safe and stable futures. The shelters offer a blended program of emergency and transitional stage care (up to 3 months, followed by up to an additional 9 months, or longer as needed). Program activities are designed to help survivors overcome the devastating effects of domestic violence and human trafficking, including economic, social, and emotional barriers, in order to achieve safety and self-sufficiency. Comprehensive services for adults include case management, counseling, legal assistance, life skills training, parenting education, job development and placement services, financial literacy education, housing establishment assistance, and advocacy and referrals to other specialty services such as medical care. Children receive school enrollment/re-enrollment services, age-appropriate counseling, therapeutic free play, social and recreational activities, and tutoring to promote their healthy social and emotional development.

The Everychild Foundation Emergency Shelter and Youth Program for homeless unaccompanied youth ages 10-17, including child sex trafficking victims, combines emergency housing with a Youth Empowerment Center where homeless and at-risk youth are able to access life-saving services like crisis intervention, life-skills training, career exploration, and educational support. The program addresses the immediate critical needs of homeless children with the goal of helping vulnerable youth return home when appropriate, or find alternative living arrangements when their home is not safe.
