Take us to work
There are several ways you can support 1736 Family Crisis Center on the job.

For instance, when you designate 1736 Family Crisis Center to receive your gift in workplace fundraising campaigns, you channel vital help to troubled children, teens, and adults.

You can also invite your co-workers to sponsor or participate in a tax-deductible cash or in-kind contribution to benefit our children and families. As one example, we stock and operate a festive holiday store for individuals and families enrolled in our programs. Each fall, we are in particular need of gifts for the store, such as new toys, clothing, games, sports equipment, CDs, and other items for all ages.

Your company may offer the opportunity to apply for corporate sponsorship of events or for grants to support new or ongoing programs.

In addition, many employers generously match the contributions of employees, doubling the healing impact of such gifts.

Check to see if your workplace has a Matching Gift Program and ask for a matching gift form. Then fill out the donor’s portion of the form and send the entire form to us with your tax-deductible contribution. We’ll complete the form and forward it on, advising your employer of your kind action to benefit others in need.

Please send your check and employer matching gift form to:
Carol A. Adelkoff, CEO and Executive Director
    1736 Family Crisis Center
    2116 Arlington Ave., Suite 200
    Los Angeles, CA 90018.

Sponsor a special event
A fall harvest fair... a weekend performance of your church or school play... a black-tie dinner and silent auction.

Events like these – staged to benefit 1736 Family Crisis Center by caring and creative service organizations, churches, businesses, schools, and other community individuals and groups – can generate significant proceeds to support life-changing Center programs.

To help make your event successful, we offer speakers... educational materials... special displays... and more! Please call our Development Department, at (323) 737-3900, Ext. 207, for more information.

Event proceeds should be directed to:
Carol A. Adelkoff, CEO and Executive Director
    1736 Family Crisis Center
    2116 Arlington Ave., Suite 200
    Los Angeles, CA 90018.

Remember us in your will
Including 1736 Family Crisis Center as a beneficiary of your estate creates a loving legacy that will extend healing help and hope well into the future.

Your generous remembrance will offer domestic violence victims and their children, teens on the run from problems at home, and people struggling to overcome other daunting life challenges a powerful boost up. Remembering 1736 Family Crisis Center in your will may also yield significant estate tax advantages.

Donate goods or services
Toys. Printing for brochures. Washing machines and sofas.

All are examples of the essential goods and services that people like you have donated across the years to help 1736 Family Crisis Center deliver high quality, cost-effective aid.

Arrangements may be made to accept donations by calling Jerald Gray, Facilities Manager at (323) 737-3900 x 204.

Annual holiday stores
We are continuing to directly accept new, unwrapped gift items for the  festive holiday stores we create each December.

The stores allow individuals of all ages enrolled in 1736 Family Crisis Center programs to select gifts for themselves and family members. All gifts are free and help make the holidays a special time of warm connection and joyous celebration for our children, teens, and adults.

You can help make the season bright with your donation of new toys, casual or dress up outfits, jewelry, grooming products, CDs, watches, games, socks, sports equipment, radios, gift cards or certificates, and other items designed to appeal to people of every age.

For holiday stores donation drop off information, please call Nancy at (310) 543-9900, or Vitelio at (323) 737-3900, Ext. 218.

Sell or buy on eBay
You can sell an item on eBay and donate from 10% to 100% of the final sale price to support 1736 Family Crisis Center. You can also purchase items being sold on eBay that benefit 1736 Family Crisis Center.

MissionFish, a nonprofit organization specializing in online charitable auctions, developed Giving Works for eBay. Although items will be posted through MissionFish, they will appear with all other listings on eBay.

Giving Works items are marked with a charity ribbon icon so buyers know they are supporting a good cause. Items listed this way tend to sell for more because buyers are more generous when they know that they are supporting a charity with their purchase

In addition, Giving Works items appear in three categories for the price of one: the category you select, the eBay Giving Works category and on the MissionFish nonprofit homepage.
