Know the Warning Signs of Domestic Violence:
- Calls you names
- Scares you by yelling
- Tries to control you by threatening or hurting you, your kids, or your pets
- Pushes, hits, slaps, punches, and/or throws things at you
- Pulls your hair
- Threatens you with a weapon (knife, gun, iron, or anything that could be used to hurt you)
- Tries to manipulate you by making it seem that things are your fault
- Forbids you from leaving the house, getting a job, or talking to your relatives or friends
- Threatens to have you deported
- Forces you to use drugs or have sex
